I. GENERAL PROVISIONS

Art. 1. These regulations govern the terms, procedure and criteria for providing financial support by the Emma Foundation – for Colorful Children (hereinafter referred to as the “Foundation”) for children with special needs.

Art. 2. The Foundation carries out its activities in the public interest, in compliance with the principles of:
– equality;
– transparency;
– responsible management of donated funds;
– respect for the individual needs of each child.

Art. 3. Financial support is complementary in nature and does not replace state or municipal funding.

II. RIGHT TO SUPPORT

Art. 4. The following children (natural persons up to the age of 18) have the right to apply for support:
1. with special needs, including autism spectrum disorders and/or developmental delay;
2. with a proven need for therapeutic support;
3. presented by a parent, guardian or trustee.

III. TYPES OF SUPPORT

Art. 5. The Foundation may provide financial support for:
1. speech therapy;
2. biochemical and complementary therapies;
3. other therapeutic activities approved by the Board of Directors.

IV. AMOUNT OF FUNDING

Art. 6. The Foundation applies a standard funding threshold in order to provide support for the maximum number of children.

Art. 7. The standard maximum funding amount for one child is:
– up to €1,100 per year, or
– up to €300 per month,
according to a decision of the Board of Directors.

Art. 8. Funding may be distributed by type of therapy and period.

Art. 9. In case of proven need and availability of financial resources, the Board of Directors may approve an exception to the specified threshold.

V. DURATION OF SUPPORT

Art. 10. Financial support is provided for a certain period of time and is subject to periodic review.

Art. 11. The continuation of support is carried out after an assessment of:
1. the child’s progress;
2. the current therapeutic plan;
3. the financial capabilities of the Foundation.

VI. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Art. 12. The application is made by submitting an application, accompanied by:
1. medical and/or therapeutic documentation;
2. therapeutic plan;
3. other documents requested by the Foundation.

VII. MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL

Art. 13. Decisions to grant financial support are made by the Management Board.

Art. 14. The Management Board exercises control over the targeted use of funds.

VIII. TRANSPARENCY

Art. 15. The Foundation ensures transparency through:
1. clear rules for support;
2. accountability to donors;
3. publishing summarized information about its activities.

IX. FINAL PROVISIONS

Art. 16. These Regulations are adopted by decision of the Management Board and enter into force on the date of their adoption.

Art. 17. The Regulations may be amended and supplemented in the order of their adoption.
