We believe that every child deserves a chance to be understood, accepted and loved for who they are. With heart, dedication and together with our partners and like-minded people, we are building a better future for children with autism.
For the colorful children
Autism is a developmental disorder that affects the ability to communicate and interact with the world around them. It manifests itself in early childhood, before the age of 3, and is diagnosed by the symptoms of the autism spectrum that appear during this period. Older children, teenagers, and adults do not develop autism.
Autism can range from mild to severe. It occurs about four to five times more often in boys than in girls. Autism is characterized by difficulty perceiving the world around them, often accompanied by delayed intellectual development.
The key to treating autism is early recognition of the signs and symptoms of autism spectrum disorders in infants and young children.
Although experts say autism is a condition, not a disease, there are therapies (medical and educational) that can improve their condition.
Autism spectrum disorders do not mean that your child cannot lead an independent and productive life.
With the right therapies and interventions, people with mild to moderate symptoms can complete their education, and people with below-average abilities can do specialized work and live independently.
